Ernest C. Mensch, 90, of Red Hill, passed away December 11, 2017. He was the husband of the late Betty (Miller) Mensch. Born in Pennsburg, he was a son of the late Elias and Eva A. (Christman) Mensch. Ernest served his country in the Army during WWII. He was the owner of Ernie Mensch Trucking Company from 1958-1962. Then, he owned Ernest Mensch Plumbing and Heating for over 50 years, retiring in 2001. Ernest was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ. He was a former President and Board member for many years of the Home Association at the VFW, Post # 5954, Red Hill. Surviving are children: James Mensch, of Pennsburg; John Mensch, and his wife, Judy, of Bechtelsville; Joyce Foesig, of Green Lane; and Roseanne Arnold, of South Carolina; siblings: Lawrence Mensch, and his wife Sandra of Douglassville; Esther Renninger, of Sassamansville; Mary Friele, of Bradenton, FL; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers: Clarence, Harold, Henry, Raymond, Wayne, Elias Mensch, and sisters: June Ruth, Ruth Ihle, and Jean Keyser. Services will be announced at a later date.
