Ernest Mansfeld

Ernest Mansfeld, 87, of Allentown and formerly of Hellertown, passed away July 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Boehm) Mansfeld. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Richard and Grace (Yeakel) Mansfeld. Ernest began his career at the Riegel Paper Co, Riegelsville where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He then worked for the Bethlehem Steel in the HVAC department for Martin Towers. He was also the owner of the former Mansfeld Oil Co., Hellertown. Ernest served his country honorably in the Navy. Surviving with his wife, are children: Denise, wife of James Russell, of Port St. Lucie, FL; Richard Mansfeld, of Knoxville, PA; Randy Mansfeld, and Robert Stauffer, and his wife, Keri, all of Hellertown; and Randall Stauffer, of Lehighton; grandchildren: Eric & Elizabeth Mansfeld; and Ryan and Kensi Stauffer; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Alicia, Willa, and Ezra Mansfeld; and sisters: Doris Szmodis and Carol, wife of Roger Leith, all of Hellertown. He was pre-deceased by a brother, James. Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Home, Hellertown is in charge of arrangements.
