Ernest Kaiser

July 8, 1922 — May 6, 2016

Ernest (Ernie) Kaiser, 93, of Coopersburg, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2016. Born in Bethlehem, he was one of twelve children of the late Joseph and Rose (Lucas) Kaiser. He served his country honorably in the Army in the European Theatre during WWII. Ernie was very active in both local and state politics during his lifetime. He was credited as one of the founders of Crime Watch in Allentown. He was a member of the Allentown Sertoma Club and the Coopersburg Area Senior Center among his many other volunteer activities. He was also conferred the honorable title of 33rd degree Master Mason in the Valley of Allentown after being involved as a Freemason and Shriner for many years. Survivors: Two daughters, Barbara, wife of Ronald Sturz of Armonk, NY, and Marsha, wife of Robert Gerber of Haddonfield, NJ; grandchildren Jonathan Sturz and Katherine Kruza; four great grandchildren; and five sisters. Services: He will be interred privately at Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery with full military honors.
