Ernest Elwood Hardy

Ernest “Ernie” E. Hardy, 90, of Orefield, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Dana Nichole (Witcraft) Hardy. Born in Morristown, NJ, he was a son of the late Ernest E. and Adrienne L. (Demougeot) Hardy. Ernie served his country honorably in the Marines where he attained the rank of Sergeant during the Korean War. Ernie held a degree in Horticulture and worked in the field of Landscaping and Horticulture his entire career. He was a member of Hope Community Church in Fogelsville. Surviving with his wife are his sons, Charles E. Hardy and his wife, Rebecca of Center Valley, George R. Hardy and his wife Sarah of Bethlehem, and his daughter Catherine L., wife of Mark Wimble of Emmaus; and eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Sat., Jan. 16th, at Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Rd, Fogelsville, PA 18051.
