Erika Rosina Harper, 99, of Emmaus, died Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was the widow of George W. Harper, Jr. who died in 2002.

Born in Hausen im Killertal, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Maria and Oskar Weith. She was Catholic. A U.S. citizen, she came to the United States in 1950.

Survivors are daughters, Sonia, wife of Lance Bornmann of Spotsylvania, VA, and Michele, wife of Donald Boehm of Macungie; Stepdaughters, Pamela, wife of Bernard Kametz of Corolla, NC, Bonnie Kim Lins of Canon City, CO, Robin, wife of Barry Blackman of Emmaus; Brother, Adolf and his wife Elisabeth of Stuttgart, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by stepdaughters Jill J. Kratzer of Walnutport, and Lisa A., wife of Donald Muthard of Barto; sister, Helga and brother, Fritz of Germany.

Erika was a loving mother, stepmother, Oma to her 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sister, aunt and friend. We will remember her on doughnut day, her homemade applesauce, her love of going to the "farm" for fresh produce and picking apples, doing word finds, neighbor get-togethers and keeping in touch with her family in Germany. She continued to live and care for herself until the last year of her life.

A graveside service will be held at the Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church Cemetery on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:00 am. Contributions may be made to The Emmaus Ambulance Corps, 100 N. Sixth Street, Emmaus, PA 18049.
