Elsie Bakke

Elsie A. Bakke, 77, of Forks Twp., passed away on March 9, 2013 at the home of her daughter Lydia Mackey of Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Bakke who she married in 1958. They were married for 47 years until his death in 2004. Born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Reinhard and Lydia Weiss. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Forks Township. Elsie’s favorite things were her children, grandchildren, reading, and her beloved pet cat, Wolfgang. Survivors: daughter, Lydia and her husband John Mackey Sr. and their three children: Kaila, Brianna, and John Jr.; a son, Roy and his wife Tracey, and their children: Sydney and Nicole; and a son, Erik and his two children: Katerina and Andrew. Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Easton, PA 18040. All are invited to gather with the family from 11 – 12 p.m. at the church.
