Eleanor E. King, 85, of Pennsburg, passed away January 14, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Charles W. King. Born in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Margaret (Moll) Rothenberger. Eleanor was a graduate of East Greenville High School. Early in life, she was employed by the former Berman Bag Co, in Red Hill. Later she was a clerk for the former Red Hill Savings & Loan, the former Boutique Shoppe in East Greenville, and the former Shupp’s Insurance, in Red Hill. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill. Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother, & grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and conversing with others; but foremost, she enjoyed gathering and entertaining her family and friends. Surviving with her husband, are children: Dana King, and his wife, Jane, of Pennsburg; Vicki, wife of Greg Thren, of Barto; granddaughters: Nicole, wife of Eric Farris and Alyssa Thren; and a great-grandson, Carson Farris. She was pre-deceased by siblings: Jeanette Terpoilli and David Moll, and a grandson, Mitchell King. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill. Friends may visit from 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 47, Red Hill, PA 18076.
