Eileen M. Shirey, 75, of Barto, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. She was the loving wife of Earl W. Shirey, Jr., with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.
Born to the late Paul and Helen (Mayer) Stoudt, Eileen was a graduate of Empire Beauty School. She began her career as a hairstylist, working for many years with Fulton and Suzanne Koons. She later enjoyed a long and successful career with Boscov's, where she worked in the bridal registry before advancing to corporate management, a position she held until her retirement.
Eileen will be remembered for her kind and selfless nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. She had a special love for animals, particularly cats, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. Above all, Eileen cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved.
She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband, Earl; her sons, James Shirey and his wife, Jenn, and Chris Shirey; her grandchildren, Jimmy Shirey and his children, Ollie and Avery, Erin Covaleski and her husband, Patrick, and their daughter, Brooklyn, and Emma Shirey. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church.
