Edwin Geyer

Edwin W. Geyer, 87, of Creek Rd., Bethlehem, died May 28, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Benzak) Geyer. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Walter K. Geyer and Mildred R. Worthington. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the Third Division under General Patton and fought in the battle of Enzio, Italy and the battle of Aix, France. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Presidential Unit Citation with two battle stars. Following the war, he was a rural mail carrier for the Postal Service and a chainman at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp, both for 33 years. Survivors: son Christopher and his wife Wendy of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Kristen Ann, Meredith Paige, Terry Lee, and Alex Hurley; and great grandchild, Amarah Paige Davis, and his siblings, Doris E. Potts, of Ft. Myer, FL, Susan E. Worthington of Hendersonville, NC, Charles F. Geyer and his wife Shirley of Ft. Punta Gorda, FL, Richard K. Geyer and his wife Nina of Hellertown, and David D. Worthington and his wife Casandria of Ft. Myers, FL; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a son Edwin. Services: Funeral Mass, 1 pm, Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Hellertown. Call Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30pm at Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown.
