Edward John La Gerda

Edward La Gerda, 80, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19th, 2023. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Delfert) La Gerda. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1961. He went on to work for Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years as a carrier operator and he was part of the Steel Company softball team. Since the age of 21, Edward was a member of the Hellertown Democratic Club, playing in their dart league. He was a huge sports fan and really enjoyed oldies music- specifically 50’s and 60’s rock and roll.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Susan La Gerda of Bethlehem, a brother: Al Lagerda of Pontoon Beach, IL, a niece, Danielle and her children, and cousins.

All are welcome to attend a graveside service Friday, June 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Hellertown Union Cemetery, 85 Main St, Hellertown, PA, 18055.
