Earl Gebert

Earl R. Gebert, 97, of Pennsburg, passed away December 25, 2016. He was the husband of the late Margaret J. (Drake) Gebert. Born in Pennsburg, he was a son of John and Emma (Reppert) Gebert. Earl served in the Air Force during WWII. After serving his country, he was employed at the former Firestone Company, Pottstown until retiring in 1983. He was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ and he was an avid golfer and golfed until he was 90 years old. Surviving are sons: Gregory, and his wife, Mindy, of Red Hill; and William, and his wife, Linda, of Pennsburg; grandchildren: Stephanie, wife of Richard Sell; Aimee Gebert; Christopher Gebert, and his wife, Nuri; and Jill Gebert; and great-grandchildren: Nathalie, Remy, and Maggie Sell. He was pre-deceased by brothers Lane, John and Paul. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Pennsburg United Church of Christ, 775 Main St, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
