Dorothy Nemes

Dorothy P. Nemes, 91, of Center Valley, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2017. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Nemes. Born in Hellertown, she was the daughter of the late William and Hilda (Sattler) Richard. She worked as a seamstress for several area sewing factories. Dorothy was a devoted member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in lower Saucon Township. Survivors: A son, Robert and his wife Laura of Collingswood, NJ; daughters: Maria Kalbermatten of Allentown, and Christina Nemes, wife of Larry D’Amelio, of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Eric Martin, Adam and Aaron Kalbermatten, and Emily and Mikael Anderson; 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother Truman Richard of Hellertown. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Nemes-Anderson, and siblings: Henry Richard, Bernadine Kondash, and Loretta Poczak. Services: At her request, there will be no public services. She will be interred with her husband at Indiantown Gap National Veterans Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
