Doris Arlene Brown

Doris A. Brown, 84, of Mertztown, passed away September 15, 2018. She was the widow of Clarence A. Brown. Born in Kinzer, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Anna (Chambers) Althouse. Doris was a fork lift operator for Knoll, East Greenville. She was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, Woxall. She was also a member of the Pocono Chapter of the Wind-Ross Collectors’ Club.

Surviving are sons: Robert, and his wife Catherine, of Gilbertsville; and Kevin, and his wife, Barbara, of Perkiomenville; a granddaughter, Alyssa, wife of Jamie Soupik, of Gilbertsville; and siblings: George Althouse, and his wife, Thea, of Lancaster; Caroline Gordon, FL; Judy, wife of James, Hulsey, of TX; Thelma Hess, of Intercourse, PA; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane, widow of Ross Althouse, Jr., of Strausburg. She was also predeceased by her long time companion, Ellis Stauffer.

Memorial Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory Pennsburg, has been entrusted with arrangements.
