Doreen Allen

Doreen Allen, 85, of Macungie, died July 22, 2010 with her family whom she loved more than life, by her side. Born in Germantown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Leah (Snyder) McIntyre. A faithful Christian, Doreen was a member of Oreland Presbyterian Church. She was a creative person who loved life and all it has to offer. Dee Dee had a loving and giving heart and a wonderful sense of humor to the end. She will be greatly missed by every life she touched. She is survived by her son Ted Shields and his wife Susan; a daughter Susie Chiriano and her husband Wouter Sanders; seven grandchildren, Jeff Shields and his wife Sophia, Patty wife of Jim Gatter, Carly Chiriano, Tracy Shields, Michael Shields and his wife Nuria, and Eric Shields and his wife Kathy; and nine great grandchildren, Andrew, Nora, Scott, Jake, Daniel, Julien, Hayden, Austin, and Alex. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Timothy J. Shields. A small service will be held for friends and family at 11 a.m., on July 31, 2010, in her home at 1985 Rolling Meadow Dr., Macungie, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1119 Church Rd., Oreland, PA 19075.
