Donna Eileen Dougherty, 84, of Leithsville Road, Hellertown, and formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ, died January 22, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Jerome J. Dougherty Jr. They would have been married 63 years this February. Born in Cambridge, OH, she was a daughter of the late Noah A. and Mary G. (Beibaut) Rabe. She began her career as a secretary in the Bourse Building, Philadelphia. After raising her children, she worked in the family business, the former Dougherty’s Furniture in Berlin, NJ in furniture design & sales. She was a former Rotary Ann, in Berlin NJ, and a former member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Cooper Hospital. Surviving with her husband, are their children: Jerome J. III, and his wife, Kathleen, of Conway, NH; Linda, wife of Larry Lipson, of South Lyon, MI; Kenneth, and his wife, Louise, of Berlin, NH; and Sherri, wife of Frank Casilio, of Hellertown; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Neil. Services will be today at 3 PM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, PA. A viewing will be from 1-3 PM today.
