Dennis Karl Moyer, 69, of Zionsville died February 10, 2014 in his home, surrounded by his wife, daughter and son-in-law. A local historian and author, Dennis was born on July 20, 1944 to the late Ruth and Wilmer Moyer. Dennis graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 1962 and later served in the US Army in Germany from 1965-1967. He worked at the Pillsbury Company in East Greenville for 15 years. After leaving Pillsbury, he became Director of the Schwenkfelder Library and Museum. He served there for 19 years during which time he authored Fraktur Writings and Folk Art Drawings of the Schwenkfelder Library Collection. Dennis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Deardorff Moyer, his daughter Kathryn Moyer Kilmer, wife of Brian, and grandson Jacob Lars of Parkton, MD. Services: Visitation on Wed. February 19, 4-6PM at Falk Funeral Home, Pennsburg. Funeral service on Thursday, February 20, 11AM at Zion’s Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, PO Box 200, Old Zionsville, PA 18068 .
