David Elm

February 7, 1967 — February 2, 2012

David J. Elm, 44, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on February 2, 2012 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the husband of the late Lori Ann (Donnelly) Elm who died on September 19, 2011. Born in Wilkes Barre, he was a son of Donald William Elm Sr. of Bethlehem, and the late Kathleen Ann (Gaughan) Elm. David was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and received a BS in Biology from Moravian College. He was employed by the Department of Environmental Protection as an Inspector. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem where he was a CCD teacher and a CYO Cross Country and Track & Field coach. He was also a volunteer at the Celtic Fest in Bethlehem where he had been the supervisor of Food & Beverage. He was a Cub Scout leader for Troop 359 in Bethlehem. Survivors: Father; Son Aidan John Donnelly Elm; Brother, Donald Elm Jr. of Bethlehem; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Along with his mother and wife, he was pre-deceased by sisters, Sharon and Donna. Services: a Resurrection Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, at Our lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd, Bethlehem, PA. Interment will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mr. Donald Elm, Sr. for the education of his son Aidan in care of the funeral home. His arrangements have been entrusted to the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, PA 18055.
