Daniel Frederick Steinhauer

May 6, 1952 — Nov 3, 2026

Daniel F. Steinhauer, 74, left this world peacefully on November 3, 2026. Born on May 6, 1952, in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, Daniel was the son of the late Pastor Ivins W. and Anna Mae (Frederick) Steinhauer. He was a devoted husband to his wife Eileen (Flack), for whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage.

Dan came from humble beginnings and was one of ten children, raised in their Bridgeport home. He spent his early educational years in the Bridgeport Public School system and later graduated from Christopher Dock High School in 1970. After high school he worked for the Pathway School in Norristown, PA, helping kids with special needs. Shortly after that, he went on to open his first business, Mr. Robot Carwash, also in Norristown, PA. While helping a fellow new business that opened across the street, Dan found his real passion, swimming pools. Soon after, he opened his first pool store (Quality Pools) in the late 1970's and a couple years after that, he opened Easy Living Pools in Souderton, PA, before finally founding Dan Steinhauer Pool Service in the mid 1990's. He went on to become one of the most well-known and respected names in the local pool industry. Over the years he helped turn thousands of backyards into places where friends and families could gather to make cherished memories. His dedication to his craft was unparalleled and he was proud to pass that hard work ethic on to his three children and the hundreds of other friends/family members that worked alongside him over the years. He will forever be known as "Dan The Pool Man" by so many of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dan also had a love for all animals but especially his many dogs over the years. In what little spare time he had, Dan was an automotive enthusiast, enjoyed golf and watching both Penn-State and Eagles football. He will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his joking-sarcastic personality, and his unwavering love for his family.

Along with his wife, Dan is survived by his three children, for whom he was incredibly proud of; Daniel "Sean" Steinhauer and his wife Kimberlee, Eileen "Megan" King and her husband Adam, and Ivins "Christopher" Steinhauer and his wife Katie; three beautiful grandchildren; 7 siblings; Lois Steinhauer, David Steinhauer (Loretta), Esther Mae Meissner (David), Mary Jane Ressler (Dana), Ivins Steinhauer, Sam Steinhauer (Terri) and Jim Steinhauer (Jo Ann), as well as countless extended family members and friends. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Paul Steinhauer, and a sister, Ruth Anna Reinford.

The family will honor Dan's life with a private family celebration, as per his wishes but invite friends and loved ones to remember and celebrate his memory in their own way.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to a local animal rescue of your choice.
