Daniel J. Palank, of Highland Drive, Bethlehem, died December 30, 2008 at Valley Manor Nursing Center, Coopersburg. He was the husband of Margaret D. (Takach) Palank. They were married 61 years last May. Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Peter and Doris (Cora) Palank. He owned the former Dan’s IGA in Hellertown, before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Hellertown, and a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hazelton. He was a former Lion. Surviving with his wife, are sons: Barry and his wife Linda, of Florida; Lee and his wife Diana, of Hellertown; Sisters: Anita Clauser, of FL; Jean Auman, of State College, PA; and Vilma Buzalski, of FL: and 5 grandchildren: Chad, Brad, Jason, Jenna, and Jamie.
