Daniel Thomas Fillippo

The beloved son of Daniel T. Fillippo and Michele (Meier) Fillippo, loving brother to Michael, Daniel was raised in Harleysville, attended Souderton area schools and is a graduate of Perkiomen School. He received a Bachelor of Science in food marketing from St. Joseph’s University. Daniel worked with his father and brother at Silver Springs Farm. A natural athlete, he enjoyed and excelled in all sports beginning with his early days as Player #33 on the Harleysville Hurricanes. He found serenity being on the water and was happiest when fishing in any body of water. When the fishing was good, his ear-to-ear smile was unforgettable. He cherished summertime in Avalon with long days on the beach and evenings spent with family and friends, always filled with laughter and good food. Daniel leaves behind his loving parents, Dan and Michele, brother Michael, Michael’s girlfriend Nikol Toulatos, and his beloved girlfriend, Steffi Sokol. He will be sadly missed by many aunts and uncles: Caroline Morgenthaler, Nancy Meier, Arnold and Nancy Meier, Francine Meier, Carolann and George Kusnir, Michael and Robyn Meier, Ronald Fillippo and Lorraine Fillippo. He will live in the hearts of his loving extended family, abundance of friends and his four-legged pals, Boo, Benny and Banjo. Daniel is predeceased by his adored grandmother, Frances (Mabel) Meier. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Daniel on Saturday, May 8, at Green Lane Park from 9-11am. A celebration of life service will begin at 11am followed by a luncheon served in Daniel’s memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Daniel’s memory to Project Live Upper Perk, c/o UPV Chamber of Commerce, 300 Main Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
