Clarence Leonard Scott III, "Scotty", 84, of Pottstown passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Evans) Scott. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Clarence Leonard Scott Jr. and the late Marian (Petitt) Scott Pangonis. Scotty was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and was a teacher for many years for the North Penn School District. He was a member of the New Hanover United Methodist Church (now called the New Ridge Fellowship) and a member of the Boyertown Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed gardening and working in his fruit tree orchard. Earlier in life, he designed electronic alarm systems and spent time fishing and hunting.
Surviving with his wife, is a son, Gregory Stephen Scott, and his wife, Amy, of Barto; grandchildren: Christopher Scott Jr., Brian Scott and Benjamin William Scott; and a brother, Ronald Scott, and his wife, Terrie, of Lehighton, and a daughter in law, Bernadette Scott. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Christopher Alan Scott Sr.; a grandson, James Scott; and a brother, David Scott.
A funeral service will be on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 11:00 am. Friends may gather from 10:00 am. Burial will be private in the Union Cemetery, Slatington.
