Christopher Matthew Tur

June 7, 1972 — January 11, 2015

Christopher Matthew Tur passed away January 11,2015 and was laid to rest on January 31, 2015. He was born June 7, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pa. He graduated from North Penn High School in 1991. Christopher made his family proud by entering the United States Marine Corps in February 1993. His deployments included Guantanamo Bay Cuba and to the coast of Haiti. He returned to civilian life after achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. He went on to manage the Loss Prevention for all Navy Exchange facilities at Guantanamo Bay Cuba where importantly he positively changed the lives of many by his servant leadership.

He was a loving and devoted son of his late father Henry P. Tur, Sr. (USAF) and his mother Ann Marie Tur. In 1996, Christopher started a family. He raised two beautiful and magnificent daughters Savannah and Madison. He was a devoted father who loved his daughters unconditionally, taught them well and inspired them to dream big. He coached them in sports, encouraged them to always give 110% in every aspect of life and watched in amazement as they grew up into beautiful young ladies. He never ceased talking about them and how proud of them he was.

Christopher is also survived by his brothers Hank (Sandy) and Michael (Pamela) Tur and his sister Aline (Patrick) Byrnes. He was a devoted and loving Uncle to 8 nieces and nephews. Christopher loved and was a passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, boating, fishing and barbecuing. More than anything, Christopher enjoyed lending a family member, friend or co-worker a helping hand. He was loved greatly by his family and friends and will be missed immensely. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christopher's name to Operation Enduring Warrior at http://enduringwarrior.org/.
