Charles E. Zepp Jr.

Charles E “Charlie” Zepp Jr., 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Agnes (Walter) Zepp. Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Charles and Maggie (Harpel) Zepp.

Charlie worked as a crane operator for the Superior Tube company in Collegeville for 43 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill where he was a former Church Council Member and a former Sunday School Officer. He was a Hauptman for the Grundsow Lodge #7, East Greenville.

Charlie loved all family gatherings and made them fun, from Polish skis to dice games. He loved playing cards and marble dice games, which he made all the boards for. He enjoyed making wooden lawn figures with all of his woodworking tools. Charlie and his wife, Aggie, were active in the church's Lutheran League (youth group). He was an accomplished ice skater and an avid bowler, bowling well into his 80s. He also played fast-pitch softball for St. Paul's and umpired for many years after his playing days were over.

Charlie is survived by his children: David Zepp, and his wife, Lynne, of Birdsboro, Thomas Zepp, and his wife, Judith, of Red Hill, and Debra Heywood, of Macungie; grandchildren: Justin, Cory, Ashley, Aaron, and Miranda; great-grandchildren: Weston, Willow, Woodson, Nicholas & Isla; brother-in-law: Robert Wetzel; sister-in-law: Phyllis Zepp; and many nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by his siblings: James Zepp, Doris Brendlinger, Sara Stevens, Margaret Marks, Blanche Fries, Grace Schultz, and Jane Wetzel.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday, March 25th at 11 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street Pennsburg. Friends may visit from 9 AM until services.
