Charles Griffin Skiles

Charles G. Skiles, of Hummelstown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 near his home. He was the son of the late Patrick and Eleanor Skiles. Charles was born on March 28, 1943 in Masontown, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of German Township High School. He was a retired Pennsylvania State Hospital employee after 30 years of service. Charles was a kind soul who lived to help others. He helped care for many family members throughout his lifetime. In recent years, he enjoyed helping his brother with different house projects and took pride in his hobby of bee-keeping with his sister-in-law, Cheryl. When he wasn’t helping others he loved working around his house and gardening. He will be missed. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Lynda K. Skiles. He is survived by his stepsons: Donald Kuykendall and Bobby Dall; his brother: Robert Skiles, husband of Patricia; his sisters: Regina Barber, wife of Lloyd; Charlotte Hanson, and Patty Skiles; and his sister-in-law: Cheryl Laudermilch, wife of Gerald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Great Pyrenees Foundation.
