Charles Hampton

Charles “Chuck” Stewart Hampton II, died Saturday April 9, 2016 surrounded by loved ones in his home in Hellertown, PA. He was born on December 26, 1945 to Charles Stewart and Florence (Ditmars) Hampton. He grew up in Roselle, NJ and graduated from Abraham Clark HS in 1963. He attended Hagerstown Junior College in MD. He worked in the family business, Allen Envelope Company, Inc. and later became president until he retired in 1999. Chuck had many hobbies and passions in life among them were music, art, and antiques. He was an avid outdoorsman and in more recent years especially enjoyed time with his beloved walking group. He was compassionate loyal and generous with all who were lucky enough to make his acquaintance. His enthusiasm and lust for life was evident in all that he did. Chuck died much like how he lived, with grace, dignity, and his boots on. Survivors: His loving wife of 46 years Patricia (Matthews); son Charles Stewart Hampton III (Chaz) and wife Robin; daughter Elizabeth Brennan Firth and husband Robert; and granddaughters: Eliza, Charlotte, Tallulah, and Astrid Hampton. He had four beloved siblings: Suzanne Hampton of Ballston Spa, NY Cynthia Hampton Hegna of Brielle, NJ, brother David Hampton and his wife, Barbara of Carversville, PA, and the late Margaret Hampton, formerly of Sea Girt, NJ. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Services: A private memorial to be held at a later date.
