Charles Freed

Charles H. Freed, 90, of Quakertown, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 in his home after a brief illness. Born in Pennsburg, he was the son of the Late Wellington and Emma (Heipler) Freed. Mr. Freed was a member of the Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ. He worked as a machinest/foreman/supervisor at Melrath Metal of Red Hill for over 40 years before retiring in 1982. Mr. Freed served honorably in the US Army in the European Campaign during WWII. He is survived by daughters Charlotte, wife of Larry Overly, and Renee, wife of Dennis Rothenberger, both of East Greenville; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and siblings Earl and Martha Freed both of Spinnerstown. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the funeral home with interment following the service at Trinity Great Swamp Cemetery in Quakertown. Call from 12-1 pm at the funeral home prior to the services. Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 163 Main Street, Pennsburg are in charge of arrangements.
