Charles R. Benfield

Charles R. Benfield, 78, of Barto, died suddenly on April 20, 2012. He was the beloved companion of Barbara Fillman. Born in Berks County, he was a son of the late Charles and Estella (Bartholomew) Benfield. He served his country honorably in the Army. Following his service, he worked for the former Stanley G. Flagg Co. in Stowe. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Niantic. Surviving with his companion are Donald Fillman and his wife Gail of Red Hill, and Donna wife of Greg Rickert of East Greenville; grandchildren: Allen, Kelly, Troy, Frank, Steve, and Amy; and great grandchildren: Kelley Ann, Chris, Raven, Xavier, and Jake. Services will be held privately.
