Catherine Kriebel Detwiler, 91, long-time resident of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016. Born in Trooper, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Florence (Lambert) Kriebel. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Detwiler, who died on July 12, 2016. They celebrated 71 years of marriage last December. She was a graduate of Hatfield High School, class of 1942, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hatfield. She is survived by three daughters: Dona Cuppett of Telford, Patricia, wife of Dr. Theodore Hirokawa of Scottsville, NY, and Wendy, wife of Hank Clare of Sumneytown; grandchildren: Ben, Melissa, Tyler, Cozette, Mark, and Amanda; and great grandchildren: Haley, Dylan, and Noah; and two sisters, Jean Thomas, wife of John B. Thomas of Cambra, Pennsylvania, and Margaret “Peg” Sames of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Kenneth Eichenberg and brother-in-law, William Sames. A joint Memorial Service for Kay and Bob will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 11:00 am at the Lutheran Community at Telford Chapel, 12 Lutheran Home Drive, Telford, Pennsylvania. Calling hour will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Grace Lutheran Church, 25 W. Broad St., Hatfield, PA 19440.
