Carol B. Carpentier, 68, of Michigan Drive, Harrisburg, died April 5, 2010 in Harrisburg. She was the widow of Joseph A. Carpentier, who died in 1996. Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Miriam (Evans) Edwards. She was a graduate of the Allentown School of Nursing, and was a nurse and supervisor of the Isolation Ward at Allentown Hospital from 1962-1965. She was then employed at Blue Cross, Harrisburg, until 1978. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Lutheran Church, Allentown, and was a member of the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing Alumni. Surviving: are 2 step-sisters; Dorothy Perry, of Beaverton, OR; and Joan Dumpman, of Hoffman Estates, IL; 2 nieces: Melissa Edwards Young, of Willow Grove, PA; and Miriam “Corey” Edwards Cranney, of Amherst, NH; and a sister-in-law: Mary Lynn Edwards, of Manchester, NH. Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her step-mother, Theresa Edwards; her brother, LTC (Ret) Richard L. Edwards; and her mother-in-law: Anna (Kochel) Carpentier. Graveside services will be 12 PM on Tuesday, April 20th at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
