Brenda Lynn Brown of Bethlehem died at her home on April 17th 2021 surrounded by her family. She was wife of Keith W. Brown to whom she was married for 39 years.
Growing up in Hellertown, she was the daughter of Henry and Shirley (Zimpfer) Mostek.
After graduation at Saucon Valley High School in 1977. Brenda worked as a phlebotomist at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital and Grandview hospital. She also worked as an office manager for Pete Seeger’s Sing-Out magazine produced in Bethlehem. Brenda enjoyed many activities, but was passionate about quilting, music and travel. She made well over a hundred quilts and gave them to friends and family. She was an active supporter of Godfrey Daniels and loved volunteering and enjoying the live music with artists and friends. If you visited Godfrey Daniels during the past 25 years, you saw one of Brenda’s quilts as the stage backdrop.
Brenda enjoyed traveling and took numerous trips with her family. She loved our national parks, the Florida beach and was able to visit all 50 states in her lifetime.
Brenda was a loving mother and loving wife. She enjoyed quality time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving along with her husband Keith and her mother Shirley are her sons Nathan W. Brown and Colin K. Brown, two grandchildren Dylan and Demi-Leigh Brown, brother Larry Mostek and his wife Mary, sister Deborah Goldman, sister Laurie and her husband Mike Luybli, sister-in-laws Kimm & Julie Mostek and brother-in-laws Kevin Brown and his wife Milou Mackenzie, Doug Brown & Kim Brown along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by father Henry Mostek, brothers Randy and Gary Mostek, and nephew Tyler Mostek.
At her request, services will be held privately.
