Betty Stevens

July 28, 1929 — December 2, 2010

Betty R. Stevens, 81, a long time resident of East Greenville, passed away on December 2, 2010. She was the wife of the late William C. Stevens who died in 2009. Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late John and Alverda (Kulp) Smith. Betty was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Palm; a member of the East Greenville Fire Co. Auxiliary; a volunteer with the Perkiomen Valley Red Cross; a member and volunteer at the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center; and a member and volunteer at the East Greenville Owl’s. She was also a faithful member of New Goshenhoppen UCC where she taught Sunday school. She is survived by a son, William II and his wife Terry, of Rockledge; a brother, Bobby, and his wife Dee Dee of Red Hill; a sister Eva Walker of Red Hill; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Cody, and Rachael. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Arthur, Warren, and Earl, and two sisters, Ida and Arlene. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 7, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St., Pennsburg, PA. A visitation will be from 9 – 10 in the funeral home.
