Betty Elaine Smith

Betty E. Smith, 87, of Royersford and formerly of Oaks, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020. Born in Edison, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Myrtle (Schwauger) Frederick. She was married to the late Durrell W. Smith. Betty was a graduate of Norristown High and of the Methodist faith. Betty was recognized by the Montgomery County Home Health Aide Services, Inc. for her many years as a “Handy Ann” offering home cleaning and other assistance to those in need. Betty was survived by her daughters, Donna Smith, Susan, wife of Ed Price; and Cindy, wife of Bud Cover; and her son, Michael Smith; grandchildren: Jennifer Morse, James Roebuck, Amanda, Elizabeth, and Jacob Cover; five great grandchildren; Ryan Ewing, Julian & Isabelle Roebuck, Olivia Cover, and Ari Morse; and a brother, Raymond and his wife Karen Frederick. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son James, and her siblings: Lillian, Shirley, Virginia, Henry, and Francis. Following cremation, Betty will be interred with her son James in Frieden’s Union Cemetery in Sumneytown on Saturday, at 1 PM.
