Barbara Ann Leister Hansell

Barbara Ann Leister Hansel, 73, of East Greenville, passed away December 19, 2020. She was the beloved wife of John “Jack” Hansell. Born in West Rockhill Township, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Martha “Marie” (Conrad) Leister. Barbara began her career at the former Plummers Optics in Pennsburg. She then was a teacher’s aide at the New Goshenhoppen Nursery School for several years. She finished her career in the office at Pennsburg Manor for 20 years. Barbara was a member of the Pennsburg United Church of Christ, where she was a former Bible School teacher. She enjoyed working outside, going to the Beach, and babysitting her cousin Renee Pecuch’s children: Xavier & Ariana. Surviving with her husband, is a son, Travis Leister, of Pottstown; a granddaughter, Dana Venella, of Red Hill; and step-children: Marco Hansell, and his wife, Patti, of Gilbertsville; and Olga Lidia Hansell, of Valencia, Spain. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the Carriage House, 745 Gravel Pike, East Greenville, PA. Friends may visit from 11-11:30 AM at the Carriage House.
