Asta Charlotte Fusco died peacefully at home with family by her side on June 24, 2021. She was born in Bochum-Hordel, Germany on September 23, 1953, the daughter of Heinz Reich and Charlotte (Schnitt) Reich. Asta graduated from Leigh High School, Class of 1971, in San Jose, California. She continued taking classes, seminars, and training throughout her career. She started her career in integrated circuit manufacturing. Asta’s final and most rewarding employment was as an Activities Director at a senior facility, where she engaged with the elderly, ran an Alzheimer’s support group, and managed events. She retired in the summer of 2018. During her career, she also took time away to stay home with her three children. Asta will always be remembered for her positive spirit, love of her family, and her kindness. Asta married Stephen Fusco. They celebrated 36 years of marriage in November. Asta was pre-deceased by her parents. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her three children: Eric Fusco of Skippack; Lina Vitale, of Glenmore; and Amy Turner, of Harleysville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, a sister, and two brothers. A public memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Deep Creek Stone Lodge, Green Lane Park. Asta’s Walk-a-Thon for the Patient Advocate Foundation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Details to be provided at a later date.
