Arlene S. Schmoyer

August 12, 1923 — December 10, 2021

Arlene S. Schmoyer, 98, of Red Hill, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2021. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Schmoyer who died in 1988. Born in Upper Milford Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Verna (Marsteller) Gery. She was a graduate of East Greenville High School. Arlene worked as a sewing machine operater at the former Rosenau’s in Red Hill. Following that, she worked as a presser and clerk at the former Bauman’s Drycleaning in East Greenville for many years. She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ. Surviving are her children: Eugene Schmoyer and his wife Susan, Sandy Mest of Boyertown, and Dorothy, wife of John Egan, of King of Prussia; her beloved grandchildren: Jamie, Scott, Jana, Sherry, Randy, Patrick, and Shannon; and her beloved great grandchildren: Morgan, Madison, Victoria, Zachary, Aaliyah, Selina, Rory, Avery, Matthew, Jacob, Amber, Natalie, and Dylan. She was predeceased by her siblings: Gerald, Wilmer, and Neil. All are invited to gather from 10 am for a celebration of her life at 11 AM, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Rd., East Greenville. She will be laid to rest privately next to her husband in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in her memory to New Goshenhoppen UCC Memorial Fund.
