Arlene (Jock) Hambach, 84, of Red Hill, died January 23, 2013. Born in Pt. Pleasant she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sophia May (Allshouse) Jock. She grew up in Horsham where she attended Horsham Elementary and Hatboro High School, graduating in 1947. She married the late John Hambach in 1950. Arlene worked in the office of Fischer and Porter and then at Aztec Manufacturing, both in Warminster. She retired from Fendt Finding Co., a jewelry manufacturer, in Telford. Arlene enjoyed attending her high school reunions. At the class's 50th reunion, she became reaquainted with a former classmate, Jack Palmer. He invited her to his home in Connecticut for a visit. She went, and they never parted. They recently attended their 65th reunion this past October. She was a member of the Golden Agers, Pennsburg, and enjoyed going on trips with them to the casinos and dinner theaters. She also enjoyed watching soap operas. Arlene broke her hip on December 2nd and was admitted to the hospital. She contracted pneumonia and never recovered. She was taken off life support on January 23rd. Along with Jack, she is survived by a brother, Edward Jock of Chalfont, and a daughter-in-law, Patti Hamback of Kintnersville. She is predeceased by her son John, Jr., who was born in 1952 and died in February 2011; and, a brother Harry Jock. A memorial service will be at 2 PM on Tuesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 163 Main St, Pennsburg. Friends may call from 1-2 PM.
