Anne R. Weiss, 78, of Ziegler Road, Palm, died August 16, 2007 at home. She was the wife of Edward Weiss. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William C.C. and Margaret (Gorman) Young. She was a cook for many years, at the Sumneytown Hotel, the Geryville Publick House, and at Camp Mensch Mill, before retiring. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills UCC, Bechtelsville. She was a former vice-president of the Perkiomen Valley Womens Club, and was a member of the Upper Perkiomen and Souderton Senior Citizens Centers. She was a former Judge of Elections for Upper Hanover Township. She loved quilting, cooking, playing bridge, people, and the seashore. Surviving with her husband, are children: Joseph T. Stoddart III, and his wife, Grace, of Macungie; Michael J. Stoddart, of Benecia, CA; Daniel T. Stoddart, of Lancaster; Elizabeth Emery, of Cold Springs, TX; Jeanne, wife of John Fitzgerald, of Auburn, CA; Linda, wife of Dennis Hillegass, of Quakertown; Eleanor, wife of Kerry Sadorf, of Sumneytown; and Anne Marie Troy, of Allentown; Step-Children: E. Max Weiss, and his wife, Lisa, of Meadville, Paula (Weiss), wife of Steve Martin, of Lexington, VA; Joanne (Weiss), wife of David, Carney, of Hudson, MA; a sister, Esther Boone, of Earleville, MD; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by siblings: William C.C. Young Jr., Ednamae Webb, and Margaret Brendlinger. Memorial Services will be on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 3 PM at Shepherd of the Hills UCC, 527 Hoffmansville Road, Bechtelsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either the Church or Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709.
