Anna Sochanski

April 13, 1932 — May 5, 2011

Anna B. Sochanski, 79, of Bethlehem, died on May 5, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill from complications after minor surgery. She was the wife of the late Valentine B. Sochanski. Born in Steel City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Demchuk) Bozileski. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she provided many years of volunteer service. Being a truly caring and considerate person, Anna was always concerned about the welfare of everyone she came in contact with and spent much of her time helping others. She was employed at the former Western Electric Company in Allentown for eleven years and also for many years as a waitress and cashier at various local restaurants. Survivors: stepchildren, Wanda Sochanski of Allentown, Andrew Sochanski of Williamstown, NJ., and Valentina Sochanski of Boston, MA.; nieces, Estelle Hines and her husband Donald, of Macungie, Lenora Slabikosky and her husband Joseph, of Bethlehem, and Anna Heller, of Bethlehem; nephews, Ronald Roman and his wife Pam, of Birmingham, AL., and Michael Bozilesky and his wife Debra, of Tobyhanna; many great nephews and great nieces. Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Bozilesky, Michael Bozilesky and step-brother John Krich (killed while serving his country honorably in the US Army during World War II), and sister Sophie Roman.
