Anna E. Hoffman, 100, passed away March 6, 2018 at Frederick Living. Prior to moving to Frederick Living, she resided with her sister Stella Roney and her niece Carol Bradley in Perkiomenville. She was the wife of the late Alvin Hoffman who was a contractor in the local area. Born in “Dykie’s Corner” Perkiomenville, she was the last living child of the late Michael and Mary (Tara) Dykie. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg where she was very active at parish activities throughout her life. She was also a former member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Shinglehouse, PA. Early in life, she was a member of the roller skating team at Ringing Rock’s. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, & canning; as well as, fishing, hunting and archery. Anna was an agricultural entrepreneur, selling eggs, chickens and guinea hens. Most of all, she loved her family and her pet beagles and was generous in sharing her blessings with everyone. She was beloved by her Godchildren: Sandra Dale, Jeanette Miller, Mary Ann Patterson, and the late Sondra Dykie, as well as many nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers: John, Pete, and George Dykie; and her sisters: Kathrine Gaugler Kerivel, Genevieve Husted, and Stella Roney. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 13th at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with a viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. The Falk Funeral Home, Pennsburg, has been entrusted with her services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
