Anna Marie Glackin

Anna Marie Glackin, 73, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 26, 2021. She was the beloved wife of James C. Glackin. They celebrated 51 years of marriage last July. Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Dario) Mankevich. She worked first as an Executive Assistant to the owner of Burgoyne Greeting Cards in Philadelphia and then as an office manager. She was a member of St. Isadore’s Catholic Church in Quakertown. Anne loved her family fiercely and was a devoted wife, mom and mom-mom. She was known for speaking her mind and never holding back her opinion. Anne was an amazing cook and an avid baker. She is famous for her Christmas cookies, both for their deliciousness and the variety – about 15 different cookies every year. She loved cruising and logged more than 10 cruises with her husband and family. Anne had many interests and enjoyed card games, reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting and crafting. Along with her husband, Anne is survived by her daughter, Christine Ann, wife of Kenneth A. Hopkins of Gilbertsville; her grandchildren: Ryan Hopkins, and Francesca, Carolena, James, and Angelina Glackin; her sister, Donna, wife of John Taylor of Telford; and her daughter-in-law, Filomena Glackin. She was predeceased by her son James Christopher Glackin who passed away in 2019. Services for Anne will be held privately. She will be laid to rest in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
