Anna Carolyn “Carol” (Mensch) Eschbach, 95, of Harleysville passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10th, 2023. She was the wife of the late Donald Eschbach. Born in Pennsburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Bartholomew) Mensch. She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education and a minor in English. and worked as a substitute teacher. Carol was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.
Carol was an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting and counted cross stitch. She played pinochle in several card clubs. Carol loved playing dominoes and card games with her children and grandchildren and spending time with all her family. She was called Nana by many. Carol and Donald traveled the United States and Europe. They spent many winters in Delray Beach, Florida where she enjoyed golfing.
She is survived by her children: Norman and his wife Christine, of Harleysville, and Stephen and his wife Patricia, both of Harleysville, Cheryl Stinson and her husband Richard, of McConnellsburg, Timothy and his wife Michele of Pennsburg, and Melanie Martin and her husband Jeffrey, of Emmaus; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Sharon and her husband Joseph, and her brother John Mensch.
Services will be held privately. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Schwenkfelder Cemetery.
