Ann Marie Vinciguerra, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Northampton, PA. Born in New York on February 16, 1935, Ann was the daughter of Italian immigrant parents, the late Ciro and Rosa (Franco) Troiano and attended Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating, she worked in the Bursar’s office at New York University where she met Eugene Vinciguerra. They married and had three daughters. Ann took great pride in running the household; she enjoyed baking and making family dinners. She never missed her favorite soap opera “As the World Turns” and had a particular fondness for chocolate, especially dark chocolate. She also adored the family’s Siamese cat “Tico” and cared for him like one of her babies. Ann later worked several years as a bookkeeper for the former Hair Design Institute in Brooklyn before retiring. Throughout her life, music was something that deeply resonated with Ann. She played the piano with skill and passion and loved listening to many of the greats like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Engelbert Humperdinck. When she could no longer perform, she found great comfort in the many music therapies provided to her.
Ann is survived by her three daughters, Gina, wife of Frank Iannucci of East Williston, NY, Lisa, wife of Thomas O’Dougherty of Summit, NJ, and Lori, wife of David Menzies of Harleysville, PA; her ten grandchildren: Lucien, Marcel, Arielle, Kyle, Kristen, Megan, Isabella, Arianna, Emelina, and Liliana; her six great grandchildren: Matteo, Gianna, Francesca, Lucas, Theodore, and David; and her siblings: Anthony Troiano and Marie Russo; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Troiano, who died in 2005.
All are invited to gather for a celebration of her life from 10-11am with a service at 11am on Saturday, August 12th at the Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. Visit Ann’s "Book of Memories" at falkfuneralhomes.com.
“If you play music with passion and love and honesty, then it will nourish your soul, heal your wounds and make your life worth living. Music is its own reward.”
