Ann (Weisel) Stone, 75, of Red Hill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Terry Stone.
Born on April 10, 1949, in Philadelphia, to Elmer A. Weisel and Geraldine T. Carr, both of Philadelphia, she spent her early years in Mayfair, Southampton, and Easton, where she helped at her family’s business, The Open Gate Hotel and Restaurant. She later moved to Hatboro with her family.
She was a 1967 graduate of Notre Dame High School, having studied in the fields of clerical, receptionist, and kitchen aid. She attended many clubs, including the Library Club and Pep Club.
She met her husband, Terry, while participating in a bowling league at Silver Lake Lanes in Willow Grove. After a year of courtship, they married on October 11, 1969, and would have celebrated 55 years of marriage next month. Together, they lived in Roslyn, Doylestown, and Red Hill.
Ann enjoyed a dedicated career as a receptionist at Tinius Olsen, a book editor at ICC, and later as a receptionist for Bill Mount Realty in Doylestown. Her final position was with B.C. Property Management, where she worked for 15 years before retiring in 2021.
She is survived by Marie, wife of Richard Koenig; her son, Timothy T. Stone, and his wife, Laurel Stone-Howard; and her grandchildren Zachary, Ben, Jackson, and Esther. She also leaves behind her brother, David, and his wife, Joan Allison Weisel, her sister, Joyce, and her husband, Joseph Cantlin, predeceased her.
Ann was a beloved aunt, leaving behind six nieces and nephews, eight great-nieces and nephews, three second-great-nieces and nephews, and one on the way she had hoped to meet.
All are invited to gather 10:30 to 11 AM on Saturday, September 14, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
