Andrew Polack, 79, of Freemansburg, passed away March 16, 2013 at home. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Vasquez) Polack. Born in Fountain Hill, Andrew was a son of the late John & Anna (Bodak) Polack. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. For over 31 years, Andy was a train engineer for the former Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem and a life member of the Monacacy Field & Stream. Surviving with his wife, is a son, John Polack, of Georgia; a daughter, Cindy Silva, at home; siblings: Helen, wife of Frank Kozma; Delores, wife of Donald Bortz; Joseph Polack, and his wife, Fran; and Mary Bognar; all of Bethlehem; and Magdeline Guidon, of Freemansburg; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Anna, Theresa, Eleanor, Carl, and John. A memorial mass will be on Thursday at 10 AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery with military honors. A viewing will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown.
