Amelia M. DeAngelis, 88, of Georgia Drive, Whitehall, and formerly of Springfield, Delaware County, died July 9, 2009. She was the widow of John DeAngelis. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Hruz) Masar. She was the Coordinator of Continuing Medical Education for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before retiring. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown; and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Senior Citizens Center. Surviving: Son: John DeAngelis, and his wife MaryAnne, of Evergreen, CO; Daughters: Christine, wife of Vann Bynum, of Sante Fe, NM; and Dr. Patricia DeAngelis, with whom she resided; Siblings: Joseph Masar, of Destin, FL; and Frances, wife of David Cromley, of The Woodlands, TX; 3 grandchildren: Tara DeAngelis; and Katherine & Alexander Bynum; and nieces and nephews. Services: A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, July 18th at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 825 N. 11th Street, Allentown. Call from 10-11 AM Saturday at the church.
