Alvin T. Snyder

Alvin T. Snyder, 89, died May 29, 2011 in Orwigsburg. Born in Kempton, PA he was the son of the late Charles J. and Ida (Schaeffer) Snyder. He worked as a dairy farmer in Germansville and for Bethlehem Steel.

Survivors: daughters, Soniann and her husband Richard Ratcliffe of Palmerton, Norreen and her husband Melvin Maynard of Simpsonville, SC and Lane and her husband William McCarthy of Springtown, his brother, Paul of Orefield, his sisters, Elsie Gruber of Orefield and Jennie Dengler of Trexlertown, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Hilda Fries and Edna Sechler and brothers Charles, Wilbur and LeRoy.

Graveside service: Thursday, 10 am, Weisenberg Lutheran Church Cemetery, 7645 Weisenberg Church Rd., New Tripoli PA 18066.
