Alma V. Meyers, 91, formerly of Red Hill and East Greenville, died March 26, 2011. She was the widow of Lester "Speedy" Meyers. Born in Green Lane, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Edna (Snyder) Imbody. She was a 1936 graduate of East Greenville High School. Alma worked for Jacobs Aircraft in Pottstown during WW II and she worked at the former Green Lane Hosiery Mill and various other sewing factories in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. She was a lifetime member of Friedens UCC, Sumneytown; Perkiomen Chapter # 318, Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hill; the Upper Perkiomen Senior Citizens Center, and the East Greenville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving: Daughters: Gail, wife of Barry Stevens, of Red Hill; and Mary, wife of Randolph Siegfried, of Allentown; grandchildren, Christopher Stevens and Gregory Stevens and his wife Andrea; and great grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, and Jackson Stevens. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel and Ruth. Services: will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, at Friedens UCC, Church Road, Sumneytown.
