Albertina Helinsky

Albertina G. "Tina" Helinsky, 75, of Allentown, passed away August 31, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Walter Helinsky. They were married 41 years this past February. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Ferry) Hottenstein. Tina was a 1959 graduate of the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, and a member of their Alumni Assn. She was a staff nurse, and then Director of Nursing for the Good Shepherd Home-Raker Center from 1970 until retiring in 2000. Tina was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Allentown, and a life member of the Good Shepherd Ladies Auxiliary. She was a chair member of the 153rd Army of Engineers Reunion Committee, in which her husband served during his military service. Surviving with her husband; are daughters: Linda Kapitan, of Allentown; Mariann Richards of New Ringgold; and Diane Albright, of Fogelsville; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at 11 AM on Friday at Grace United Church of Christ, 623 Cleveland Street, Allentown, 18103. Friends may call from 10-11 AM.
