Albert J. Rizzo

Albert J. Rizzo of Hellertown, PA passed away peacefully on June 8, 2021. Albert was born in Millburn, NJ on March 8, 1926, the son of Joseph and Vita Maria (Cianci) Rizzo. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Julia (Tenore) Rizzo, granddaughter, Charna Parkes, and eight siblings. He served his country in World War II as a Sergeant in the Army Air Force. He attended Packard Business School in NYC and graduated from South Bend College of Commerce, South Bend, IN. He worked for the DRJTBC as a toll and traffic officer for 10 years before retiring in 1982. He previously owned his own building maintenance company and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed buying, restoring and selling antiques and collectibles. He is survived by his beloved companion of 16 years, Thelma Doll and her family; a daughter, Michele of LaPorte, IN; a son: Paul and his wife, Karen of Montague, NJ; grandsons, Joseph and Mark Rizzo; great grandchildren, Jacob, Julianna and Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on June 26, 2021 at 12 PM, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, PA, 18055. Family and friends may gather at 11:30 AM, with interment to follow at The Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
