Albert Morgues, 71, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the University Of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Jean (Rothrock) Morgues. They celebrated 34 years of marriage on September 21st. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Victor and Emma (Amir) Morgues. He grew up in Queens, NY, and moved to Allentown Where he worked for Phoenix Clothes as a Controller. He received his degrees in Accounting at the University of Maine and was a CPA in the Lehigh Valley. He has his own business in lighting sales and long term nursing insurance. He volunteered for Lehigh County Meals on Wheels and the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Al is best remembered as making friends easily. He greatly enjoyed his life with family and friends, from poker with his buddies to chocolate chip cookies with the youngsters. Survivors: wife; sons: Dr. Timothy Burke and his wife Peggy of the Poconos, and James Burke of Whitehall; daughters: Susan, wife of Robert Messbauer of Salisbury Twp, Stacey Goldberg of Doylestown, and Sara, wife of Manu Raul of India; beloved grandchildren: Michael and Sarah, Ellie, Evan, Patanjali, and Augustia; and a sister: Cynthia, wife of William Seitles of Long Island. Services: A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main St, Hellertown, PA. A service will also be held on the same day at the home of Judy Levit at 3:00 p.m. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice.
